Surcharges will need to be built into your rate table, rather than listing them as a note in your Terms & Conditions. The reason for this is to prevent any confusion from your partners, and to give your partners the ability to automatically load your rates and surcharges into their booking systems, which will help to get your rates on the market faster.

If you have a surcharge over a special event period, you will need to load this as an additional season, with the surcharge built into the base rate. For instance, if your regular season rates are normally $200, but you have a $50 surcharge over holidays, you will need to add these holidays as an additional season at the rate of $250.

If you have a surcharge on certain days of the week, you will need to load this as an additional rate set with the surcharge built into one of the rate sets. You can add an additional rate set for the same season by clicking on "Add another rate set to ..." as circled below. For instance, if your regular rate is $200, but you have a $50 surcharge for stays on Friday or Saturday night, you will need to add the first rate set for Sunday-Thursday at $200, then an additional rate set for Friday and Saturday at $250.

If you have a surcharge on certain stay periods, like a one night stay, you will need to load this as an additional rate set with the surcharge built into one of the rate sets. You can add an additional rate set for the same season by clicking on "Add another rate set to ..." as circled below. For instance, if your regular rate is $200 for a 2 night stay, but you have a $50 surcharge for one night stays, you will need to add the first rate set with a 2 night minimum at $200, then the second rate set with a 1 night minimum at $250.

TourConnect is also offering to load your rates for free. If you'd like to take us up on this offer, forward your rates and policies to support@tourconnect.com. All you'll need to do is review them once they're loaded and send them to your partners.

If you have any questions, or would like further assistance, feel free to contact us on support@tourconnect.com.
