The TourConnect Add-in is the main interface that you will use to access AI and generate responses. It has been designed to be incredibly intuitive, so if you have stumbled on this guide while looking for something else, then we have probably achieved our User Interface goals.
In order to see the Add-in inside your Inbox side-bar, you will need to first creating an account and then downloading the Add-in for either Gmail or Outlook. See the Fast Start Guide for more on those prior steps.
First time accessing the Tour Connect Add-in
From your Inbox, click on any email.
Then click TourConnect to activate the Add-in. Outlook users will see TourConnect in the middle of their Outlook navigation (below), while Gmail users will see it in their Side-bar menu.
Log-in to the Add-in. Use the same credentials that you used when creating you Tour Connect AI account.
If you are an Outlook user, click the pin at the top of the Add-in to lock the side bar in place. This concludes the one-time setup. From now, when you open your Inbox you'll also be logged in to the Add-in.
Using the Clever Compose AI Add-in
The Add-in top navigation menu will show the TourConnect AI products that your account has access to. Hover over each icon to get a description of each item. At the least, you will see these icons: Clever Compose AI, Settings, Help and Log out.
Clever Compose AI identified the contents on an email when you open the email itself. It doesn't "read" or process the email unless you have clicked Generate.
The options frame is where you control the response that Clever Compose AI will generate. Tell the AI what you want help with in Select Action. Customer Service is used the majority of the time, so it is the default. Here you can adjust the prompt from Customer Service to other standard types of help or a Custom prompt. For those that aren't familiar with generative AI, changing the prompt is like accessing different expert members of the team. They all have access to your Knowledge Library. This can be useful to help with questions from new staff members or to develop marketing text.
Select input allows you to switch from the default of the clicked email, to a text entry box where you can paste text that you want AI's help with.
Select response options is one of the most loved features of Clever Compose AI, (second to the Knowledge Library). Here you can adjust the tone of the generated reply, the brevity and also the language. Within the languages, there are three English dialects that you choose from. Our users from English speaking countries enjoy adjusting and combining these settings to find the right brand tone for them. For users that primarily have non-English speaking customers, we have an almost unlimited number of Languages built into Clever Compose AI. Simply select the emails' language from the language drop down, or select Match the Inquiry if the language is not one of the more popular ones in the list. Our capabilities are less refined in non-English languages for now. So, when using a non-English language, it is best to use the professional tone and brief length.
Clicking Generate will set the wheels in motion to create a response - in seconds you Clever Compose AI will go through the Knowledge Library to find answers, draft a response and output it ready to be sent to the customer. Simply review it for accuracy, Copy to a email, make adjustments and send.
On the rare occasion that you have feedback on the quality of the response or an issue occurs that prevents AI from creating a reply, then use the Feedback field to report it directly to our developers. Using this method automatically provides our team with the technical context and links to our internal bug ticketing process, so we can resolve issues faster and communicate back to you with what we've done.
Those are the basics. Now, let's see how many responses you can generate in the first day. Clever Compose AI is unlimited in it's usage with a flat monthly fee.
