This article explains what a "soft extraction" is and how you can test an extraction of an itinerary/request

A soft extraction is when you ask ItineraryAssist AI to simply extract the details of an itinerary WITHOUT doing any product matching.

At present, the soft extract button is only available during the onboarding process when you add a brand new agent to an integration. Simply click the soft extract and let Itinerary Assist AI do the rest!

How to Try an Extraction

  • Try an extraction...the tool is quite good at getting most of the information correct on its own, so only put in rules that are absolutely necessary.

    • Log into the add-in using your normal TourConnect email and password.

  • NOTE: If using Gmail, you need to add any attachments to the Add-In so that they can be processed.

  • Make sure the attachments you want to process (if necessary), then click the Soft Extraction button.

  • Review the information that was extracted. Make note of any critical data that was either not extracted or extracted incorrectly.

NOTE: For any data that was not extracted, missing, or extracted incorrectly, you can create extraction rules for that agent. You can find instructions on how to create extraction rules, visit the Creating Extraction Rules help article.
